Can't Upload Your Driver’s License or Take a Video Selfie?

2 min. readlast update: 04.30.2025

If you're experiencing issues while uploading your driver’s license or completing the video selfie (liveness detection) during ID verification, it’s most likely due to missing app permissions on your phone.

To complete the ID verification successfully, the GoPeople app requires access to:

  • 📷 Camera

  • 🎤 Microphone

  • 🖼️ Photo Gallery

Without these permissions, the app won’t be able to capture or upload your documents, or record your liveness video properly.

🔧 How to Fix It: Enable Permissions on Your Phone

📱 For iPhone (iOS):

  1. Open your Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap on GoPeople

  3. Tap Photos → Select “Full Access”

  4. Tap Camera → Make sure it’s ON

  5. Tap Microphone → Make sure it’s ON

🤖 For Android:

  1. Open your Settings

  2. Tap Apps or Applications

  3. Find and tap on the GoPeople app

  4. Tap Permissions

  5. Ensure that Camera, Photos/Media, and Microphone are all enabled

✅ Once Permissions Are Enabled:

  1. Reopen the GoPeople app

  2. Try uploading your driver’s license again

  3. Complete the video selfie by reading the number (e.g., 5826) aloud within 10 seconds

❗ Still Having Trouble?

  • Try restarting the app after updating your permissions
