Many Runners ask whether GoPeople has an “Online” or “Go” status similar to Uber Driver or DoorDash.

The answer is: No — GoPeople works differently.

📲 How GoPeople Job Notifications Work

Unlike Uber or DoorDash, GoPeople Runners do not need to switch themselves to an “Online” status to receive jobs.

As long as you are:

…you may receive job notifications automatically.

🚗 On-Demand Job Notifications

For On-Demand jobs, notifications are generally sent based on your distance from the pickup location.

The system gradually pushes notifications outward from the pickup point.

📍 Runners closer to the pickup location usually receive notifications earlier
📍 Runners further away may receive notifications later
📍 If another Runner accepts the job quickly, you may not receive the notification at all

For Runs, the notification process works differently.

The Run will first be sent only to the invited Runners.

Other Runners will not see the Run unless:

The system will distribute notifications based on the Sender’s preferred Runner tier settings.

Notifications are generally sent in this order:

1️⃣ Tier 1 Runners
2️⃣ Tier 2 Runners
3️⃣ Other eligible Runners

Lower-tier Runners may only receive the notification after higher-tier notification windows have ended.
