2 min. readlast update: 05.07.2025

When you have specific delivery needs — such as where to leave the parcel, how to access your property, or special handling requests — GoPeople makes it easy for you to communicate this directly to the Runner.

📝 How to Leave Special Instructions

1. Use the GoPeople Tracking Page

  • After your parcel is picked up and on its way, you’ll receive a tracking link (usually via SMS or email).

  • Open the GoPeople tracking page.

  • Look for the “Leave a message” textbox.

✅ Here, you can type clear delivery instructions that will appear immediately in the Runner’s app.

2. Examples of Good Instructions You Can Leave

  • “Leave at front door behind the flower pot.”

  • “Use side gate (code 1234) and leave by back door.”

  • “Call upon arrival, apartment 15B is through second lift.”

  • “Safe to leave parcel if no one answers.”

✅ The Runner will see your instructions before they attempt delivery!

🚦 Important Things to Keep in Mind

Tip Why It Matters
Be clear and concise Helps the Runner act without confusion.
Only leave legal and safe instructions Runners can refuse unsafe or unclear locations.
Update as early as possible Best if notes are added before the Runner arrives at your address.
Authority to Leave (ATL) If you're comfortable, you can include permission to leave the parcel without needing a signature.

🔔 What If You Forget to Leave a Note?

  • As long as your delivery is still in progress and not completed yet, you can go back to the tracking link and add your note at any time.

  • Once the Runner starts attempting delivery, real-time updates may be harder, so earlier is better.
