Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Bundle Runs

4 min. readlast update: 06.18.2025

This guide covers key questions Runners often ask about how Bundle Runs work, including earnings, levies, payment structures, penalties, and more.

💼 Who Can Apply for a Bundle Run?

Any Runner—new or experienced—can apply. However, the more experience and positive history you have, the higher your chances of being allocated a Run.

📌 If a Run is assigned to a first-time Runner, GoPeople may contact you to provide delivery guidance. If we cannot reach you, the Run may be reassigned.

🔢 How Many Jobs Are in a Run?

On average, a 3-hour Run includes around 10-50 deliveries, but this may vary depending on:

  • Estimated Working Time (EWT)

  • Job complexity (e.g. hospital or CBD jobs)

  • Buffer time for traffic, parking, and multiple stops

🧭 How Many Pickups and Drop-offs Can There Be?

There can be multiple pickup and drop-off locations in a single Run.
We calculate extra time into the EWT to account for this.
You can set your preferred delivery areas using the “Favourite Areas” option in the app.

⏱️ How Is EWT (Estimated Working Time) Calculated?

GoPeople calculates EWT based on:

  • Travel time from pickup to drop-off

  • Time required for each pickup/drop-off

  • Delivery complexity (e.g. hospital or CBD)

  • Traffic, delays, and special conditions (e.g. rain, events)

💵 How Much Can I Earn from a Bundle Run?

Runners are paid based on the Run’s EWT. On average, Runners earn around $30/hour after levies across the platform.
Higher-earning Runs may involve more complex deliveries, such as multiple pickups or challenging areas.

📈 What Happens If the EWT Is Longer Than the Scheduled Run Time?

You will be paid for the actual EWT, even if it exceeds the initial scheduled time.

🕒 What If the EWT Is Less Than the Run Time?

You will still be paid for the full scheduled Run.

What If EWT Is Less Than the Scheduled Run Time, But a Levy Applies?

You’ll be paid for the EWT + applicable levy. This may result in a higher total payment than the minimum guaranteed.

📍 What Is the Distance Levy?

A distance levy applies when the total estimated driving distance exceeds 55 km.

  • Calculated at $0.46/km inc. GST

  • e.g. A Run with 100 km of travel = (100 km - 55 km) × $0.46 = $20.70

💸 How Are Cancellations Paid If GoPeople Cancels the Run?

Time of Cancellation Runner Payment
More than 2 hours before start 30% of fee
2 hours to 15 minutes before start 60% of fee
Less than 15 minutes before start OR after Run start 100% of fee
Within 15 mins of being assigned No payment

What Happens If the Runner Cancels a Run?

Time of Cancellation Runner Penalty
2–24 hours before start 30%
Less than 2 hours 60%
Less than 15 minutes 100%

🚗 Can Runners Choose Their Own Route?

Most Runs have a preset delivery sequence.
You’re expected to follow this route unless otherwise instructed.

❗ If you change the sequence, ETA notifications sent to recipients may become inaccurate, leading to complaints.

If you need to alter the route, get Sender approval first.

🔁 What If a Parcel Needs to Be Returned or Re-delivered?

Always contact the Sender for instructions.
If a re-delivery or return is approved, you may receive extra payment.

👤 Why Do I See a Run with the GoPeople Logo?

These are Roaming Runs — used to fill delivery coverage gaps.

  • Often involve multiple pickups

  • May require waiting at a Sender’s location until deliveries are assigned

  • Travel time between businesses is included in EWT and paid

When Will My Run Application Be Approved or Declined?

  • Most are approved quickly during business hours

  • If your application is still marked “Pending”, it may mean you’re on a waiting list

You can cancel a pending application at any time without penalty.

Why Was My Run Application Declined?

Common reasons include:

  • Other Runners have higher performance history

  • You are not on the Sender's favourite list

  • Your profile or rating is lower than other applicants

📌 Tip: Improve your chances by:

  • Completing on-demand jobs

  • Earning testimonials

  • Maintaining a strong track record

🏙️ When Does the CBD Levy Apply?

For car Runs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth:

Drop-Offs CBD Levy (ex. GST)
1–4 $15.45
Each extra CBD job +$3.85
Max CBD levy $38.63

✅ If you were booked for a CBD Run but received no CBD jobs, you’re still entitled to the minimum levy.

  • 2084, 2097, 2101, 2102, 2103, 2104, 2105, 2106, 2107, 2108
