Handling Aged Parcels Handed Over by HUBBED

6 min. readlast update: 09.04.2026

Sometimes, while dropping off parcels at a HUBBED location, HUBBED staff may ask you to take back parcels that have been held at the location for an extended period.

These are referred to as aged parcels.

Before accepting an aged parcel, you must make sure it belongs to GoPeople. This article explains what to do when HUBBED hands you aged parcels and what happens if you accidentally collect a parcel that does not belong to GoPeople.

๐ŸŸข Scenario 1: HUBBED Gives You Aged Parcels

If HUBBED staff asks you to collect aged parcels while you are dropping off parcels for an ongoing job, follow the steps below.

Step 1 โ€“ Contact GoPeople Support

Contact GoPeople Support immediately and let us know that HUBBED is asking you to collect aged parcels.

Provide:

  • The HUBBED location
  • Details of the parcels being handed over
  • Any information provided by the HUBBED staff

This allows our Support Team to document and assist with the collection.

Step 2 โ€“ Only Accept Parcels with a GoPeople Label

Tell the HUBBED staff that you can only accept aged parcels with a valid GoPeople label.

โœ… GoPeople label โ†’ You may accept the parcel

โŒ No GoPeople label โ†’ Do not accept the parcel

Even if HUBBED staff tells you that a parcel needs to be returned to GoPeople, do not take it unless you can confirm it belongs to GoPeople from the label.

Step 3 โ€“ Check Every Parcel Label

Before taking any parcel, carefully check its label.

Confirm the available information on the label, such as the GoPeople or job details, before accepting it.

Do this individually for every aged parcel HUBBED gives you.

Step 4 โ€“ Take Photos of the Labels

Take a clear photo of the GoPeople label on each aged parcel.

Make sure the photos clearly show the relevant parcel and label information.

Send the photos to GoPeople Support via chat or email for documentation and verification.

๐Ÿ“ธ Remember: If you are collecting multiple aged parcels, take a clear label photo for each parcel.

Step 5 โ€“ Do Not Take Unverified Parcels

If a parcel does not have a valid GoPeople label, leave it with HUBBED.

Explain to the HUBBED staff that you can only collect parcels that can be confirmed as belonging to GoPeople.

Do not take an unverified parcel back to the GoPeople warehouse.

Step 6 โ€“ Get the HUBBED Staff Member's Details

Before leaving, ask for:

  • The name of the HUBBED staff member handing over the aged parcels
  • The reason the parcels are being returned or handed over

Provide these details to GoPeople Support.

Step 7 โ€“ Return the Parcels to the GoPeople Warehouse

After collecting the confirmed GoPeople aged parcels, return them to the GoPeople warehouse.

When you arrive:

  1. Hand the parcels to the Lead Sorter.
  2. Explain that they were collected from HUBBED as aged parcels.

Do not leave the parcels at the warehouse without informing the Lead Sorter.

Step 8 โ€“ Request Aged Parcel Pick-Up Compensation

Tell the Lead Sorter that you collected the parcels from HUBBED as aged parcels and request the applicable HUBBED aged parcel pick-up compensation.

The payment is subject to verification.

Step 9 โ€“ Verification and Payment

The Admin Team will review the parcel labels and corresponding job information to confirm whether the parcels qualify for compensation.

Once verified, you will receive the applicable compensation in accordance with the relevant process and policy.

๐Ÿ”ด Scenario 2: You Accidentally Collect a Parcel Without a GoPeople Label

If you accidentally take an aged parcel from HUBBED and later discover that it does not have a valid GoPeople label or does not belong to GoPeople, you are responsible for returning it to the HUBBED location where you collected it.

Step 1 โ€“ Check the Parcel

As soon as you notice the issue, check the parcel and confirm that:

  • It does not have a valid GoPeople label, or
  • It cannot be confirmed as belonging to GoPeople.

Step 2 โ€“ Contact GoPeople Support

Report the incorrect collection to GoPeople Support as soon as possible.

Provide:

  • The HUBBED location
  • Details of the parcel
  • A photo of the parcel, where possible

Follow any additional instructions provided by Support.

Step 3 โ€“ Return the Parcel to HUBBED

You must return the incorrectly collected parcel to the same HUBBED location where you picked it up.

โš ๏ธ Do not take the parcel to the GoPeople warehouse unless GoPeople Support specifically instructs you to do so.

Step 4 โ€“ Explain the Situation

Tell the HUBBED staff that:

  • The parcel was mistakenly included in your collection.
  • It does not have a valid GoPeople label or cannot be confirmed as a GoPeople parcel.
  • You are returning it because it does not belong to GoPeople.

Step 5 โ€“ Get Proof of Return

Where possible, obtain confirmation that HUBBED has received the parcel back.

You should:

  • Record the name of the HUBBED staff member who receives it.
  • Take a photo or other proof of return, where possible.
  • Keep the information available for GoPeople Support.

Step 6 โ€“ No Compensation for Incorrect Collections

There is no compensation for returning an incorrectly collected parcel that does not have a GoPeople label.

As the Runner, you are responsible for checking the parcel label before accepting it from HUBBED.

Checking first prevents parcels belonging to other delivery providers or customers from being incorrectly taken from the HUBBED location.

Step 7 โ€“ Resolve the Issue as Soon as Possible

Return the parcel promptly to prevent:

  • Delivery delays
  • Misrouting
  • Missing parcel investigations
  • Potential customer complaints

If GoPeople Support provides additional instructions, follow those instructions when resolving the issue.

โš ๏ธ Important Reminder

Whenever HUBBED asks you to collect an aged parcel:

  • โœ… Always check the parcel label before accepting it.
  • โœ… Only accept parcels with a valid GoPeople label.
  • โŒ Do not accept parcels that cannot be confirmed as GoPeople items.
  • ๐Ÿ“ธ Take clear photos of the labels when collecting aged parcels.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Report unexpected or incorrect parcel handovers to GoPeople Support immediately.
  • ๐Ÿ” You are responsible for verifying the parcel label before accepting the item.
