How to Cancel an On-Demand Job or On-demand Run

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you’ve accepted an on-demand job or run but are no longer able to complete it, here’s how to cancel it properly, and what to expect depending on the timing.


Cancelling Within 15 Minutes of Assignment

If it’s been 15 minutes or less since you accepted or were assigned the job:

📱 Cancel Directly in the Runner App

  1. Go to “My Jobs” and select the job you want to cancel

  2. Tap the “Actions” button

  3. Tap “Cancel job”

  4. Select the appropriate reason (e.g., Applied by mistake, Not able to complete)

📝 Result: You’ll receive a neutral review, and this will not negatively impact your account.


📞 Cancelling After 15 Minutes of Assignment

If it’s been more than 15 minutes since assignment, the app will not allow cancellation.

📞 What to Do Instead:

  • Contact GoPeople Support immediately

  • Clearly explain why you need to cancel

  • Be honest and provide as much context as possible


🕐 Review Impact Based on Time Left Before Pickup

Within 1 hour of the scheduled pickup time Neutral Review
More than 1 hour after the scheduled ready time Negative Review

🚨 The earlier you notify us, the better your outcome.


🙏 A Reminder to All Runners

Frequent or late cancellations may:

  • Lower your eligibility for future on-demand jobs

  • Impact your account standing and trust with Senders

To avoid this:

  • Only accept jobs you’re confident you can complete

  • If your situation changes, cancel early and follow the correct steps
