The difference between car insurance and Public Liability Insurance

1 min. readlast update: 10.17.2023

Car insurance focuses on vehicle-related incidents and covers damages and liability associated with driving and owning a vehicle.

Public liability insurance protects businesses from claims brought by customers, suppliers, or the public for injury or property damage resulting from the business's negligent activities. It covers the legal liability of the business owner, including the costs of investigation, defence, settlement, and compensation payments if found liable.

Car insurance is specific to vehicles, while public liability insurance has a broader scope, addressing overall business activities and the responsibility to ensure safety for customers and the public.
