What Should a Runner Do If They Can’t Find the Drop-Off Address?

If you're having trouble locating the delivery address during a job, it’s important to follow the proper steps to troubleshoot the issue, contact the right people, and ensure you're covered by GoPeople's delivery protocols.

Follow the guide below to handle the situation correctly.


🗺 Step 1: Verify the Address Using Google

  • Tap the Google icon next to the address in your Runner App to search it quickly.

  • Double-check:

    • Street name

    • Street number

    • Suburb

  • Use realestate.com.au if needed — it often shows building photos to help you visually confirm the location.

ℹ️ Some addresses may be marked “residential” but are actually schools, hospitals, or commercial buildings. Google Maps often labels these clearly.


📞 Step 2: Call the Recipient (If a Phone Number Is Provided)

  • Use the Runner App to call the recipient at least 3 times.

  • Ask:

    • If the address is correct

    • For more specific directions (e.g., “Use the side entrance,” “Look for building B,” etc.)

📌 Contacting the recipient is often the fastest way to resolve an address issue.


☎️ Step 3: Contact the Sender (If Recipient Is Unreachable or No Number Provided)

  • If no recipient phone number is provided, or they don’t answer:

    • Use the Runner App to call the sender at least 3 times.

    • Ask for confirmation of the address and any helpful delivery instructions.

    • If the sender needs time to obtain a correct address, use the “Waiting” button in the app.


Step 4: Submit a Return Request

If you still can’t resolve the issue after following all steps:

  1. Wait at the location for at least 10 minutes

  2. Then submit a Return Request through the Runner App

  3. Include detailed notes about:

    • What you searched

    • Who you called (and how many times)

    • What information was (or wasn’t) available
