Welcome to GoPeople! Your first delivery run is an important milestone, and this guide will walk you through exactly what to expect, from preparation and training to pickup, delivery, issue-handling, and contacting support.

This article combines general first-run guidance plus the additional requirements for Bundle Runs, dress code, training, scanning, and delivery expectations.


✅ Before Your First Run

1️⃣ Read the Email & Delivery Guidelines

Once your run is approved:

  • You will normally receive an email with detailed delivery instructions and sender expectations.

  • This may include:

    • Special delivery flow

    • Time expectations

    • Handling instructions

    • What to do if problems occur

👉 It is super important to read this email carefully.

If no specific sender instructions are provided:

2️⃣ Training Call From GoPeople Support

Before your first Bundle Run, you will receive a call from GoPeople Support.

During this call, we will confirm that:

  • You understand standard delivery procedures

  • You understand any special instructions for the sender

  • You feel confident and comfortable doing the run

  • You can ask questions before starting


3️⃣ Dress Code & Required Equipment

👕 Mandatory Dress Code

To ensure professionalism and safety:

  • Hi-Vis Vest (yellow or orange) — required for all warehouse pickups

    • You can buy one affordably at Bunnings or Kmart

  • Clothing: Clean shirt + long pants only

    • ❌ No singlets

  • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes

    • ❌ No slippers or open-toe shoes

📦 Required Equipment

Bring all equipment needed for your job, such as:

  • Crates for flower deliveries

  • Tools for special product handling

  • Trolley for heavy items (recommended)

  • Phone charger/power bank


4️⃣ Prepare Your App & Vehicle

  • Ensure your Runner App is updated

  • Allow Location, Camera, Microphone, Notifications

  • Ensure you have mobile data

  • Make sure your vehicle is:

    • Clean

    • Sufficiently spacious

    • Ready to safely transport parcels


🏁 Arriving for Pickup

5️⃣ Arrive Early and Communicate Professionally

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to the pickup location

  • Politely greet the sender and say:
    “Hi, I am your GoPeople Runner for today’s delivery.”

  • If items are not ready → tap “Waiting” in the app

Professionalism and punctuality build trust and greatly improve future job opportunities.

🔍 Scanning (Important)

  • Always scan barcodes on each item before loading

  • If an item has no barcode:

    • Double-check with staff

    • Confirm pickup manually in-app

🚗 Loading Items

  • Handle parcels carefully

  • Secure fragile items

  • Follow all sender instructions exactly


🚚 Delivery Process

7️⃣ Delivery Procedures & Route Compliance

When starting deliveries:

  • Follow the exact route shown in your app

  • This ensures:

    • Accurate ETAs for recipients

    • Smooth delivery flow

    • Fewer delays and complaints

Read the delivery notes for every stop:

  • Some stops may have gate codes

  • Some may require calling

  • Some may require signature or handover only


⚠️ Handling Issues During Delivery

8️⃣ What to Do if a Problem Occurs

You may encounter situations such as:

  • Wrong or incomplete address

  • Recipient not home

  • No safe place to leave the parcel

  • Access issues (locks, gates, restricted areas)

Follow this protocol:

1️⃣ Follow sender instructions

Some senders have:

  • Standard default rules, or

  • Special support lines you must call (e.g., florists, gift companies)

2️⃣ If unclear → Contact the sender

Ask for instructions or confirmation.

3️⃣ If the sender does not answer → Contact GoPeople Support

Do not leave items in unsafe or unapproved locations.
Always seek guidance if unsure.


🆘 How to Contact Support During Your First Run

If You Have an Assigned Job or Run

This is the fastest and preferred method.

  1. Open your job/run in the Runner App

  2. Tap Chat (top-right)

  3. Type:
    @GoPeople admin

  4. Send your message

Support will be instantly notified.


If You Have NO Assigned Job or Run

Email: support@gopeople.com.au

Include:

  • Your name

  • Phone number

  • Job/Run ID (if applicable)

  • Screenshots


🏁 Completing Your First Run

  • Ensure all stops are marked Delivered or properly tagged

  • If a return is required, submit a Return Request

  • Your run closes automatically once all tasks are completed

  • View your earnings under:
    Account → $ → Account History
